Power Whitening with Dr. Sellinger

After three years of trial, countless mouths whitened and just about every whitening system on the market, our offices have developed a system that is effective at whitening the most tooth shade types with the least amount of tooth sensitivity.

In office whitening is the heart of the system. This is the “jump start” that gets the teeth the whitest in the least amount of time. After the in-office whitening you can expect a small amount of rebound effect with all of the tooth whitening systems on the market.

Rebound

This rebound effect is a result of the teeth rehydrating after the procedure. During whitening the mouth is open for an extended period of time which causes teeth to become dehydrated. This dehydration causes the teeth to appear chalky white. When teeth rehydrate the chalky white appearance subsides and the teeth appear whiter than before the procedure start, but less white than immediately after the procedure which is referred to as the rebound.

So go ahead, have that glass of wine- you are covered!

Whitening is most effective on teeth that have been professionally cleaned prior to the procedure.
Additionally it is strongly recommended that an exam be performed to ensure the teeth and gums are healthy and you are a candidate for whitening.

Nite White

Nite White

This at-home whitening product achieves fabulous results. It comes in different concentrations to ensure the greatest result with the least amount of tooth sensitivity.

Treatment

The In-office whitening procedure takes approximately 1 hour.

In-office whitening consists of the application of whitening gel directly to the teeth using a controlled frequency light to activate and enhance the effect of the whitening gel. Typically three applications are done. The three applications enables the doctor to monitor the results, ensure patient comfort and avoid tooth sensitivity.

While you are having the whitening procedure done, custom trays are fabricated for your mouth for the application of the at-home gel. These trays are ready by the time you are finished with the procedure.

At-home maintenance

Whitening gel is applied to the trays and the trays are placed in the mouth. Typically they remain in the mouth for 2 hours per day and can be used up to two weeks or less if the desired results are achieved.
